What this tool does
The pascal is the base. A bar is 100,000 Pa. A standard atmosphere is 101325 Pa. Torr is 101325/760 Pa. Inches of mercury use 3386.389 Pa, without a temperature correction.
How to use it
- Enter the pressure.
- Pick source and destination units.
- Convert and copy the JSON.
Supported input
- A number and two pressure units from the menu
Output
- JSON with the converted pressure plus every other unit in the family

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: Decimal numbers / SI pascal. Limit: A single pressure (4.0 KB).
Limitations
- Gauge versus absolute is your problem. This converts a number, not a reference to vacuum or atmosphere.
- mmHg equals torr here. Laboratory mercury columns that mention 0 °C are not re-derived.
- Negative gauge pressures as ‘inches of vacuum’ are not a separate unit.
Example
1 atm → kPa
{
"result": 101.325,
"formatted": "1 atm = 101.325 kPa"
}
Troubleshooting
- A tyre gauge in bar does not match psi × 14.5
- Use this page instead of 14.5. 1 bar is 100 kPa, not exactly 14.5 psi.
FAQ
Is 1 bar the same as 1 atmosphere?
No. 1 bar is 100 kPa. 1 atm is 101.325 kPa.
Are torr and mmHg the same here?
Yes. ConvertPass treats them as 101325/760 Pa.
Does this convert blood pressure?
Only as millimetres of mercury, the number. It is not a medical device.
Can I convert metres of water?
No. Head of water depends on density and gravity. It is not in the menu.
