AI-image metadata viewer

What this tool does

The viewer reads PNG text chunks and tries to recognise ComfyUI prompt/workflow pairs and Automatic1111-style parameters. Unrecognised text is shown raw. ConvertPass never claims metadata is present when the file has none.

How to use it

1. Drop a PNG that might contain generation data.
2. Read the detected format label.
3. Compare interpreted fields with the raw chunk view before trusting them.

Privacy

This tool processes files and text locally in your browser. Your content is not uploaded or stored by this site.

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: PNG tEXt/iTXt/zTXt as UTF-8 when possible. Limit: 25 MB (25.00 MB).

Limitations

• JPEG EXIF UserComment is not fully profiled in this release.
• Unknown generators are not guessed from vibes.
• Interpreted sampler names from ComfyUI widget arrays can be wrong; check the raw JSON.

Troubleshooting

No generation metadata found

Many apps strip chunks on export. Discord, Twitter, and some photo editors drop PNG text. The source file from the generator is the one to inspect.

FAQ

Does absence of metadata mean it was not generated?

No. It means this file does not contain recognised chunks. The image may still have been generated, then stripped or re-saved.

Do you support Midjourney?

Only if the file actually contains chunks we can parse. We will not add Midjourney to a compatibility table until a file has been tested here.

Is the prompt executed?

No. Prompts are untrusted text. They are rendered escaped.

Can I export the metadata?

Yes, as JSON or plain text from the output pane.
