What this tool does

exifr parses EXIF, including GPS. ConvertPass prints values with String() semantics. There is no automatic map tile load, because that would leak coordinates to a third party.

How to use it

  1. Drop a JPEG or other EXIF-capable image.
  2. Review tags.
  3. Copy coordinates only if you intend to share them.

Supported input

  • JPEG and other formats with EXIF

Output

  • A text table of tags

Privacy

This tool processes files and text locally in your browser. Your content is not uploaded or stored by this site.

ConvertPass does not include your input in analytics, URLs, or error reports. Encoding: EXIF is binary; strings are decoded by exifr. Limit: 25 MB (25.00 MB).

Limitations

  • Not every format stores EXIF. PNG often does not.
  • MakerNotes are incomplete across camera vendors.
  • Malformed EXIF may yield missing fields rather than a crash.

Example

Input
holiday.jpg with GPS
Output
GPSLatitude / GPSLongitude shown as numbers, plus camera make and capture time if present

Troubleshooting

No metadata found
The photo may have been exported from a messenger that strips EXIF, or it may be a PNG screenshot.

FAQ

Will this tell people where I live?

It will show GPS if the file still contains it. That is the point of inspection. Remove metadata before sharing if the location is sensitive.

Are tag values executed?

No. A UserComment that contains HTML is shown as text.

Do you load OpenStreetMap automatically?

No. An optional external link is only followed if you click it.

Can I edit a tag?

Not in this viewer. Use the metadata remover to strip, or a dedicated EXIF editor if you need surgical edits.
